I know what you’re thinking, not another drawing post right? But honestly it’s the most therapeutic and satisfying thing I’ve done in a real long time!
Today we slept in until about 10am. Suffering with a sore back, I got up made a brew and crawled back into bed whilst C snoozed. We spent the next two hours catching up on social media, videos and drawing tutorials. We eventually surfaced from bed around midday and headed straight to the kitchen for bacon and egg on toast and fresh brews. Yum!
After brunch, I put some laundry on, had a blistering hot shower, changed into fresh lounge wear and got comfy with my new stylus and tablet. Thought I’d try my hand at hair, which started off with a different, more realistic style, but due to me getting carried away (picasso-eat-your-heart-out) it ended up looking more Anime. Still I’m rather pleased with the end result.
Back to work tomorrow after being ill last week. Not looking forward to it.
Still, there’s a few more hours of Sunday left to enjoy and we’ve got a Chinese takeaway enroute!
So this is it, the very last time I say I’ll start a ‘New Me’ tomorrow. Tomorrow IS the New Me!
No longer will I be chauffeured to and from work. I have bought my weekly bus pass, my Fitbit Versa will be fully charged, primed and ready for the week ahead. I have made plans for one of my girlfriend’s to attend our local ParkRun this coming Saturday (with our kids in tow) and even though we may only be able to walk it, we are still doing something, right?
I’m spending today working on a food menu for the week and plan to do my Ocado shop shortly. I’m also planning on hitting bed by 10.30pm – Lights out and waking up at 6am for a 30min workout and breakfast with a view of hitting the gym 5 times a week.
I’m determined to do this!
I’m sat here planning tomorrow’s breakfast, lunch and dinner, but with our Ocado shop not arriving until tomorrow evening, I’m a bit limited to what I can do – I’d nip to the Supermarket but I’m not feeling 100%, so opted to stay indoors, warm and just take it easy.
So far my meal plan looks like this:
Breakfast – Two weetabix, milk and a glass of fresh orange juice.
Lunch – Roasted salmon, tomatoes and cous cous.
Dinner – Omelette with carrot fries.
I’m aiming to get up at 5.30am tomorrow and to squeeze in a 20 min cardio session, that is of course if I can get my arse out of bed!
